Who are you?

Yesterday morning I stepped out the door to get the newspaper and almost ran into the web of  this little guy here. It was a huge work of art, reaching from our oak tree down to a leaf of our fountain grass.
In the afternoon it was gone - like it was never there.
This morning it sat there again, waiting. Fascinating ...

It is a beauty, but I haven't been able to identify it yet. A grass spider maybe? It is about one and a half inch in length.So, who are you? Anybody an idea? I would love to know.
