Men in kilts

Loch Ness is the one thing you have to see. It is a tourist attraction, of course, but legend has it that there is a monster in the water, a mysterious creature. Only certain people will be lucky to get a glimpse at it, but who knows, you might be that person ...
First you do the touristic part, Urquhart Castle, or what is left of it. The family who lived there burned it to the ground when they decided to leave this place once and for all.

It was build in1230, and has been fought over several times. It was occupied and reclaimed, guess that's why it shouldn't fall into the wrong hands.

while walking through the ruins, we were being closely watched. I am glad I didn't take a souvenier from here.

Well, as much as I like Loch Ness, we couldn't spend more time there (and I wasn't the lucky one as you may have noticed by now). We drove towards Edinburgh, our final stop.
Here we had some serious business to attend, a wedding, but first there was time for sightseeing and A Pint and Skittles 

Next morning we had some time to see the biggest (and most crowded) place in Scotland:: Edinburgh Castle

 

the castle is huge, so resting once in a while is not a bad idea

Everything was already set for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo .Unfortunately, we would miss it.

shopping is for the girls, but here the guys bought whiskey and cigars
